What differentiates one skilled nursing & rehabilitation center from another? The answer is... the people who work and reside there! The people set the tone, the atmosphere, and the expectations. At The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge, we take great pride in ensuring that everyone feels like part of our family and that they are treated as special "guests" in our home.

The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge employs a team of highly qualified medical professionals, including a Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Restorative Care Nurses, a Wound Care Nurse, state tested Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a Speech Therapist. Our on-site Rehab, Dietary, Social Work, and Activities departments provide personalized and compassionate care to each guest. From the moment you walk through the front doors, the warmth and caring of the staff will begin to gain your trust and confidence, as they strive to exceed your expectations.

Unlike other facilities that use "contracted" staff members, each member of the team at The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge is directly employed, not "contracted". Each Team Member takes great pride in portraying "The Laurel Way of Caring", as they strive for excellence in providing only the highest standard of care and services to every guest, and to every family member and visitor. Kevin D. Poole, MSW, LNHA

Administrator

Kevin joined The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge as Administrator in June 2018. Prior to him joining The Laurels, Kevin worked as Administrator for skilled nursing facilities in Candler and Flat Rock NC. Kevin was born in Berring Springs, MI but was raised in Orlando, FL. Kevin attended Southern Adventist University where he received his Bachelors in Psychology with a Minor in Health and Wellness. He also received his Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from SAU. As an undergraduate, Kevin worked as a personal trainer for the Hulsey Wellness Center. Once finished with his Bachelors, Kevin worked for an Inpatient drug and alcohol treatment center as a Mental Health Tech and Admissions Coordinator. During his graduate program Kevin took on a new role as Intern drug and alcohol Counselor. Kevin eventually transitioned into a full time role as an Intensive Outpatient drug and alcohol counselor for inner-city adolescent kids based in Chattanooga TN.

Angie Black, RN

Director of Nursing

Angie was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. She was awarded the Asheville Women's Club Scholarship and attended Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College. While in college she participated in the Nurse Extern program at Mission Hospital and graduated from AB Tech with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 1996. Angie did a portion of her clinical training at The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge while working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. After graduation she continued employment at The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge as a Staff Nurse until 1999. During the next two years, Angie devoted her attention to gaining additional clinical experience at Mission Hospital and working in long-term care management. In 2001 she returned to The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge as a Management Nurse while obtaining her National Certification in Gerontology. Angie has been the Director of Nursing for The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge since 2004. When not working she enjoys spending time with her children, cooking and reading. Angie feels that her clinical experience, knowledge of industry regulations and commitment to excellence make her an asset to the team at The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge.

Tara Morgan

Rehabilitation Services Director

Tara Green started with The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge in October of 2012 as Rehabilitation Services Director and has been a licensed PTA since 2004.  She began her physical therapy career working in a variety of settings including acute care, home health, outpatient therapy, and skilled nursing.  She has also spent time as a traveling therapist in South Carolina, Texas, Arizona, Washington, and Tennessee.

Stephanie Williams

Director of Marketing

Stephanie is a lifelong resident of western North Carolina, born and raised in Hendersonville. Her career in long term care began six years ago in social services prior to a role in activities. In her new position, she facilitates admissions, conducts tours and is available to answer any questions related to a skilled nursing stay. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her children, a daughter and son, dining out, exploring local events and gathering with friends and family.
